Tell me please how to restore Electrum wallet from 12 word seed. As itself, the process seems to be not very complicated, but the problem is that seeds from previous versions of Electrum don’t always work in current one. Is there a way to use the seed of an old version to recover the wallet on actual platform?
1. See the addresses that were created on blockchain of Electrum (expand the chain of addresses). If there no information, then this is not suitable version of Electrum.
2. Try to find and download the old version of Electrum (about necessary period). New versions had new set of words and an algorithm for generating addresses. In different versions are differences also in the formation of mobile wallets on Android.
3. Perhaps it is possible to run Electrum with some key which will show the use of the previous address generation algorithm.
4. Write to the tech support (I actually wrote to them when I found a bug in the mobile version. In that case the addresses did not match the desktop wallet version).
