How long does it take to send Bitcoin from Coinbase

I want to withdraw all my money from Coinbase on my Bitcoin Wallet, but I never used such canal of transaction before. First of all I decided to check on the future as the funds are withdrawn from the wallet and are entered back. I brought out 0,46BTC from the wallet to the Coinbase. Money reached the exchange platform in about twenty minutes. Then I decided to send about 3,5BTC from the Coinbase on the wallet. I put the wallet address to receive coins and sent them to the wallet confirming the transaction by mail. Money left the exchange, but never comes to the wallet. I've been waiting for several hours and nothing in the wallet comes. What is the problem? How long does it take to send Bitcoin from Coinbase?

As regards Coinbase, it sends the requested amount of bitcoins to the specified wallet instantly, but funds don’t arrive once they are sent. You will have to wait few hours until your transaction will be confirmed by a Bitcoin node and added to the Bitcoin blockchain. This condition is valid not only for Coinbase withdrawals, but also for any other transfers. Any BTC transaction should be verified and incorporated to the blockchain before recipient gets funds to his wallet. For future, keep in mind that the best practice is to send a little amount of money through an unknown channel for the first time. If the first transfer is successful, you can go with bigger transactions.
