Binance exchange is one of the best places to buy Iota, so I think you are on the right track.
1. First complete the registration process on Binance, just follow the prompts and steps and verify your email address.
2. Once you are done, login to your account, click on Funds and then choose Deposits Withdrawals from the drop down menu.
3. From the list of all the coins choose the one that you want to deposit and click Deposit at the end.
4. Now you need to deposit ETH/Litecoin/Bitcoin into your Binance wallet. You can either use Coinbase, or if you want a cheaper way and avoid the Coinbase fees, then deposit the money into Coinbase for free and link your account GDAX, where you can trade your money for Litecoin or ETH.
5. Send the LTC/ETH to the address you have just generated in step 3. I suggest avoiding using Bitcoins as it is slow and expensive for deposits and withdrawals. Enter that address into the pop-up window and the amount and send.
6. Once you are on the exchange, Click Exchange and then select Basic from the drop down menu. Choose the right exchange pair, for example if you have ETH, choose IOTA/ETH, or whatever your want to exchange to IOTA.
7. Fill out the form that appears, entering the amount of IOTA you'd like to purchase and click Buy.
Hi Brendan, your instruction looks great, except one mistake: Binance doesn't have too much trading pairs, so you can't buy IOTA with ETH or other altcoins on Binance. If you deposited altcoins (which is great advice) first of all you need to buy bitcoin with altcoins, and only after that you will be able to buy IOTA with bitcoin.
